A solution for working parents
Does your child’s school schedule conflict with your work schedule? Our transported after school program solves this problem. We provide bus service and get them from school safely and you pick up your kids at our facility. We provide a program that includes a valuable martial arts education.
Your kids receive a martial arts education
We are a member of the Ontario Taekwondo Association, which is recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport. Our program includes martial arts training, which can give your child the tools and skills needed to overcome their daily obstacles. Whether it be getting bullied at school, a lack of focus or schoolwork, or self-confidence issues, our program can help.

Age specific curriculum:
We modify our curriculum so that is age specific to meet the needs of your child.
The age groups are:
- 4-5 (Kinder Taekwondo program)
- 6-8 (Junior achievers program)
- 9-12 (Special winning attitude and leadership training)
Special program features
Belt Ranking Ceremony
This is designed to demonstrate children’s interest, progress and self-expectation. During the school year this award belt ranking ceremony is conducted on the last Saturday of November, Last Saturday of March, and last Saturday in June. Parents, neighbors and friends are allowed to be spectators in this ceremony.
Home Chores List (click to view)
Children can gain credits towards their belt promotion by doing chores at home. We provide children with a jobs list that they can complete to earn credit.
This begins between the 3rd and 4th belt ranking promotion test. Your child will qualify to the Junior Achievers Martial Arts Success System and Special Winning Attitude and Leadership development team. They will bond with positive peer group. This program includes the Olympic Taekwondo safety sparring, basic and intermediate self-defense drills.
Optional Participation in UTA Challenge
The children can participate in the annual UTA Challenge, hosted by our school. This is one the largest tournament of its kind in Canada, attracting hundreds of children from across Canada. This is an exciting and motivating experience that teaches children competitive spirit and fair play.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Which holidays are you closed?
All national holidays, including New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. We may also be closed on occasion for the day prior or day following a holiday. These closings will be posted in advance.
Will we be charged for weeks when my child does not attend due to vacation or extended illness?
You will be charged a reduced rate of one half the regular tuition. For all elementary age children who do not attend for the two weeks of Christmas vacation and the week of Easter vacation there will be no charge.
What are the pick-up times?
Evening pick up from 5:15 P.M. – 6:15 P.M
What happens if I am late picking up my child?
Please pick up child by 6:15 p.m. If you are delayed, please call us and let us know. There are no late charges.
Can I pick my child up early?
We prefer no early pick-ups. In the event that you must pick up your child early it is allowed.
Can I send someone else to pick up my child if I cannot make it?
Yes, but you must specify the alternate pick up person when registering your child. In a last minute situation where someone must pick up your child and they are not listed as an approved person in the registration information, you must call our office in person to make arrangements. An alternate pick up person should always bring identification in all cases.
What are the age ranges?
We modify our curriculum so that is age specific to meet the needs of your child. The age groups are: 4-5, 6-8, 9-12.
How are children supervised on the buses?
There are supervisors in the buses with the kids to ensure discipline and safety.
Are the buses insured and are the drivers bonded?
What kind of medical training does your staff receive?
CPR and First Aid.
What other qualifications do your staff have?
All of our instructors are trained in martial arts, allowing them to manage issues like bullying effectively, plus teach children life skills and character development.
Do you provide tax receipts and if so how to I get them?
Yes. We provide tax receipts upon request.
Can I claim both the child care tax and child fitness tax credit?
You cannot claim the child care tax because we are not a daycare facility. You can claim the fitness tax credit.
Do your programs qualify for the children’s art tax credit?
I need a tax receipt from a previous year. How do I get them?

How is inappropriate behavior handled?
Our staff is trained to recognize and deal with inappropriate behavior. Behavior that jeopardizes the safety and enjoyment for other students isn’t tolerated. Please notify our staff if your child reports any inappropriate behavior and we’ll deal with it.
What happens if my child becomes sick or injured?
Our staff is CPR and First Aid Certified and trained to address routine illness or injuries. Parents will be notified if the student needs to be picked up early due to illness or injury. In the event of a more serious problem, telephone service is readily available to call 911.
What if my child is absent? Will I still be charged?
There are no deductions for weekly tuition for absences of a week or less. If your child is absent for more than a week, a reduced fee of one half regular tuition will be charged. Please note that parents must notify us if their child cannot attend.
My child is shy and does not know anyone. Will they enjoy themselves?
Our staff are trained to be sensitive to the needs of shy and apprehensive children. Students will not be forced to participate in activities but staff will encourage them to join in. We try to help children fully enjoy themselves by trying new things and making new friends.
Is there anything they should not bring to camp?
Children should not bring any electronic devices such as phones, video games, ipads.
What happens if my child loses something?
Please ensure that your child’s belongings are properly labelled with their full name. All found items will be kept in a lost and found for up to two weeks. Please check with our facility to see if any lost items were found by our staff. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for lost items.
Can my child take medicine at school?
Yes, but you must sign a medical release form.
Does my child need to have martial arts experience?
What happens in the event of a school strike?
We will run day camps. Please inquire at the office for more information.
